Due to the Covid 19 situation all of our runs at present do not have a start location, normally Colman Terrace, in Strathalbyn but rather member’s start from their home and head for the first stop if indicated at a bakery. In this case there was only the destination, Bethany Park in the Barossa. Quite a decent drive of around an hour and a half from Strathalbyn.
This day is set aside for those who are lucky enough to have a vehicle on Historic Registration to take it out on a drive somewhere and over the last few years some of the Strathalbyn group join members of other Car Clubs in this case, from Gawler, the Barossa, Yorke Peninsular and as far away as Whyalla and Port Augusta, so it is a chance to meet up with and see some really nice examples of cars from yester-year still being driven today.
Not a huge number of cars from our club but those who took the trouble to go were:
Gilbert & Heather Haywood – FORD A Model
Gordon & Di Thorpe – XJ6 JAGUAR
Cameron & Rae Mighall – MGB Roadster
Peter Barreau – AUSTIN HEALEY BJ8
Myself –MGC Roadster
Mike Greenwood (Events)
