Mid-week run to Alexandrina Cheese Factory at Mount Jagged

Updated: Nov 22, 2018

We had a total of 20 members on this run on a pleasant but windy day.

Because of its location on the Adelaide to Victor Harbour road I made a change to the drive in order to avoid right hand turns on this busy road particularly as the two entries onto this road were uphill so by reversing the run it made it safer for all.

The Alexandrina Cheese Factory staff had been forwarded of our arrival, and were very keen to give us a showing and tasting of the lovely organically manufactured products, mainly cheddar style but they also made by products such as wonderful yo-ghurts and the best cream I have tasted!

All the group spent quite some time over Coffee and lovely cakes mainly all inside their sales area as the wind outside was not conductive to hot drinks.

I am sure that all who went had a pleasant time before heading back via the Crows nest Road into the back blocks of Port Elliot and headed to Strathalbyn
