Ashbourne Picnic Day

Just a reminder for anyone who is wanting to go on the Sunday run to Ashbourne, I went on this 2 years ago and it is a nice day joining up with the Victor Harbour car club. The Victor Harbour club went all out for this run, they had a competition and several of them dressed up to the era of their cars, they all bought their own picnic settings and set themselves around the oval with their vehicles.

There were some really nice vehicles out that day, between Victor and Strathalbyn. We had our marquee and all sat under that together, we played hooky and other games that Victor harbour had arranged. I think for memory a Strathalbyn member won the tossing of the bag event. You must take your own lunch, as the nearest bakery is at meadows, and it's a 20 drive, as some of our members found out.
